March, 1st to April 4th

설명

From March to April, Chido Museum exposes the Hina dolls that belonged to the daughters of the Sakai Family, lords of the Shonai region, in a building that used to be the lords' retirement house in the Early 19th century: the Goinden 御陰殿.
Most of the dolls exposed during this period date from the second half of the Edo Period (1604-1868). They are richly decorated and often accompanied by a multitude of fine accessories. In total, there are more than 1,000 dolls and more than 20,000 accessories exposed at Chido Museum.
